Me likey...

OK, so it's cheesy poetry. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate it.

After Awhile

You begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises.

And you accept your defeats with your head up
And your eyes open
With grace and not grief
And you learn to build all your roads on Today
Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans.

After awhile you learn that even the sun burns
If you get too much.
So plant your own garden
Decorate your own soul
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers
And you see that you can endure
You are strong and you do have worth.
